Scanning with Your New Copier

Scanning the the Las Angeles skyline

The goal of a good copier isn’t always to just copy a piece of paper. Some copiers work well as printers, some act as a network hub, and some even are used as a periodical press. Many copiers can also be used for scanning, the ability to save physical papers in to digital files. With the world becoming more and more digitized, this is a good function for a copier to have. This can be great when scanning promotional pictures of the Los Angeles area.

What to look for in a scanning copier

Make sure that any copier that can be used as a scanner has a card reader. Although many copiers can be accessed from the internet, this doesn’t mean your business needs to use that function. An onboard card reader will keep your scanned work on removable media. T his is great for the on-the-go lifestyle found in Los Angeles.

What to think about

Everything that is put on a copier will be saved on a hard drive or a solid-state drive. This includes files that aren’t meant for copies, but are just meant to be scanned. Sensitive information should be handled with care. If possible, make sure any images are deleted from the machine.
